My room is fine. I quite like it actually! Shabby chic I suppose or faded Victorian glory and I have stayed in much worse for twice as much! Staff are fine too. Give it a coat of brown or purple paint on the bedroom walls and a touch of lime in the carpets and it will be 'boutique'.

Walking into reception, very clean, smelled clean and people on reception were lovely and helpful. Rooms were very clean, basic but had everything needed. Kettle and tea and coffee making were a welcome surprise. Toilet and shower were lovely and clean. Overall, I look for clean and comfy and I had both. Would definitely recommend and will use again.

Pleasantly surprised. Beautiful old building. Some updating required and tired in places but to be expected with the size of it. Well priced, friendly staff and comfortable nights sleep. Noisy room but to be expected in the city centre. Breakfast included was also good. For overnight stay definitely recommended.

Basic and small rooms - but all we wanted was somewhere to shower and sleep so we were all good. Funky modern decor in the rooms but done to a very very poor standard. Curtains were battered too and hanging off but again - we were there for a night out and it served the purpose perfectly. Friendly staff too. The bar seems a bit makeshift but again - it sells drinks...what more do you need lol. The location is in the middle of an industrial estate - but some rooms have great views over the city. Would stay here again. Took about 9 or 10 minutes to walk to the bullring.

Decent enough room for an overnight stay. Although walls were stained in places with coffee drips, etc just needed a wipe. Staff friendly. Beautiful building, breakfast was OK we had the full English. Nice to have safe parking on site too.

You can’t review this place in the same way you would for a hotel you spend £60 + for. My review is relative for the price I paid. If you want a true reflection on whether to stay here read the below. I stopped here on a business trip with 3 others. Including breakfast it cost us £30 each. Can I really complain about the little things with prices like that? Parking was said to be an issue but directly outside the hotel there is a street, when we turned up I was able to park directly outside the hotel for free, no issues. The building itself is beautiful but like most old buildings needs work. They are refurbishing it. The staff have all been very friendly and helpful across the board. The reception area is lovely and so is the bar areas. The room itself was perfect for our needs. Yes the bed wasn’t the best and the room not the biggest but it was clean. What do you expect for £30??? All tea making facilities etc and coat hangers and hair dryers, TV etc etc. The room was a little cold at first but the radiator was on all night, once in bed no issues. If you’re with a partner this wouldn’t be an issue. The breakfast was fine too. Unlimited drinks, juices, pastries, cereal and toast. They take your order (friendly again) and the food for £5 was spot on. Would I stop here again? If I wanted a cheap night away in Birmingham. Without a doubt. It could be a magnificent place but because the building is old i understand it’s no cheap job!

Staff friendly. Room not fancy or large but all was clean. Large TV (well its bigger than the one I have at home!)modern bathroom with nice shower gel and shampoo. I paid £32 but I have paid over £100 for similar travelodge/premier inn rooms in the past. Very pleased considering the price. It was in an industrial location but was very close to the night club I was visiting so it was ideal for me. I will definstely be returning soon!
